925 sterling silver can develop a dull or darkened appearance over time due to a natural chemical reaction with sulphur in the air — this is called tarnish, not rust, and it does not damage the silver. It is easy to remove by gently rubbing with a soft microfibre cloth or a mild silver-cleaning paste. To slow tarnishing, store your Zilgi jewellery in the pouch provided, away from moisture, perfume, and direct sunlight.
